E-Safety
At Orion Scotts Park Primary, we are committed to keeping our pupils safe in all areas of their lives – including online. The digital world offers incredible opportunities for learning, creativity, and connection, but it also presents risks. That’s why we place a strong focus on e-safety both in school and at home.
Through our e-safety programme, children learn how to use technology responsibly, recognise online risks, and make safe choices. We also provide guidance and resources for parents and carers to help support their children in navigating the online world safely.
By working together, we can ensure that our pupils enjoy the benefits of digital technology while staying safe, confident, and aware of how to protect themselves online.
Please see information and top tips below to support you in keeping your children safe in an online world. If you have any questions or need further support please speak to a member of the team who will be happy to help you.
Keeping Parents Informed
We recognise that online safety is a shared responsibility between school and home. To support parents in keeping their children safe online, we send a monthly e-safety newsletter highlighting current local and national concerns, emerging online trends, and practical guidance.
These bulletins ensure families stay informed about the latest digital risks and provide strategies to help safeguard children in an ever-changing online landscape. We encourage all parents to read these communications and discuss e-safety regularly with their children.
