Pupil Premium Grant (PPG)
The Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to help schools close the gap in attainment between children from disadvantaged backgrounds and their peers. At Scotts Park Primary, we use this funding to make sure every child has the best possible opportunity to succeed, both academically and personally.
The funding is allocated to support pupils who are eligible for free school meals (FSM), children who have been eligible for FSM in the past six years, looked-after children, and children of service families.
At Scotts Park, we carefully plan how we use the Pupil Premium Grant to:
-
Provide targeted academic support and intervention where it is most needed.
-
Broaden learning opportunities through enrichment activities, including trips, clubs and cultural experiences.
-
Support pupils’ social, emotional and mental health needs to help them thrive in and beyond the classroom.
-
Strengthen home–school partnerships so that families feel supported in helping their children succeed.
We review the impact of our Pupil Premium strategy regularly to ensure that funding is used effectively and makes a real difference to pupils’ learning and development.
For more detailed information, please see our Pupil Premium Strategy Statement, which outlines how the funding is spent and the outcomes we aim to achieve.
