Vision and Values

Primary school is a special time in a child’s life, and at Orion Scotts Park we are committed to creating a caring, family atmosphere where every child feels valued. We provide a supportive and stimulating environment that enables all our pupils to thrive, develop a love of learning, and enjoy their time at school.

At the heart of our ethos are the core values of Trust, Kindness and Endeavour. These values guide every part of school life:

  • Trust – building strong, respectful relationships between children, staff and families, creating a safe and supportive community.

  • Kindness – showing care and compassion for others, celebrating diversity, and encouraging children to treat everyone with fairness and respect.

  • Endeavour – inspiring children to work hard, show resilience, and take pride in striving to be the very best they can be.

These values are underpinned by Orion Education’s four critical questions, which challenge us to reflect continuously on our practice and ensure the best outcomes for every child.

Orion Trust Critical Questions

By combining these questions with our values, we place the needs of our children at the centre of everything we do, ensuring that each child is supported, challenged and celebrated in their learning journey.

We believe that education is about nurturing the whole child. Staff and parents work together in a spirit of cooperation to help every child discover and develop their individual talents and strengths. In this way, we ensure that “every child matters” is not just a phrase, but a reality for every pupil at Orion Scotts Park.

As a growing school, we are proud of our strong reputation within the local and wider community. Our partnership with Orion Education enables us to expand our opportunities, raise aspirations and ensure that all children and staff can achieve their full potential.
