At Scotts Park Primary, we place great importance on the personal, social, health, and emotional development of our pupils. To support this, we follow My Happy Mind, a structured and engaging PSHE programme designed to help children understand their emotions, build resilience, and develop positive habits for life.
Through My Happy Mind, children explore key areas such as self-awareness, empathy, healthy relationships, and managing challenges. The programme encourages mindfulness, reflection, and practical strategies to support wellbeing, both inside and outside the classroom.
By embedding these skills into daily school life, we aim to help every child grow into a confident, happy, and well-rounded individual who can face the future with resilience and optimism.
Through our PSHE curriculum, the myHappyMind program and school-wide supportive initiatives, we want children to:
- have self-confidence
- be able to express a range of emotions appropriately
- make and maintain positive relationships with others
- cope with the stresses of everyday life
- be able to deal with change effectively
- have a mindset that is open to learning and achieving
