Transition to Orion Scotts Park
Starting Primary School is a big step for both children and parents, and at Orion Scotts Park, we make sure this milestone is a positive and exciting experience. Our Early Years facilities are designed to be welcoming and inspiring, and our caring staff are committed to supporting every child as they take their first steps into primary education.
Our comprehensive transition programme helps pupils settle smoothly into life at Orion Scotts Park. We take time to get to know each child, understanding their personality, interests, and strengths long before they officially join us. This personalised approach continues throughout their journey, ensuring every child feels confident and supported, all the way through to preparation for secondary school.
Children learn in a safe, nurturing environment that caters to their individual needs, both in the classroom and through our outdoor spaces, including our Forest School provision and extensive grounds. These areas encourage exploration, creativity, and a love of learning from the very start.
If you would like your child to join our Reception class, applications must be made through your home Local Authority. If you do not pay Council Tax to Bromley, please contact your home borough. You can also include preferences for Bromley schools on your local authority application.
Bromley Local Authority handle all of Orion Scotts Park’s admissions; they also manage the school’s waiting list. Applying for a school place - Making an application for primary school can be found here which also provides details of our over subscription arrangements.
